[Give him a few minutes to reassemble whatever shit he was maintaining and soon enough there's a STOMP STOMP STOMP of a mobile suit approaching. One Z'Gok, as requested. (Ordered? Whatever.)]
[Athrun takes note of the location, lifting Z'Gok's arm to make it more of a walk than a climb for her, then keeping it utterly still so there's no risk of pinching (or let's be real, severing) a limb.]
It's a sensible place to start. If we find anything large, we should try and skirt it closer to where we park, otherwise we'll have a hard time getting it to the mobile suit.
[It may be smaller than he's used to, but it would still have trouble navigating through a forest.]
[Once she's settled on the neck/shoulder area, Cagalli firmly pats the armor, indicating she's good to go. Be careful during flight.]
Circumstances depending, but I know what you mean. I'd like to catch something decently sized, and then there's some fishing spots available. With luck, we can have some variety.
[It's not long after they return to the Tokyo base that Dearka reaches out; maybe a few hours after they get back, at most... Yzak is in the medical bay being tended to, and there's definitely nothing else Dearka can do for him right then... So it seems like a good a time as any, then, to make the rounds and see how everyone else is holding up.
His initial message just asks where Athrun is at that moment, with little explanation beyond a request not to go anywhere for a minute. Soon after, be it the mess hall, the hangar, or some place else, Dearka shows up in person.
He still looks like he's been through the wringer, but there's a soft smile on his face. He wearily slumps into/leans against whatever seat and/or surface he can find that's conveniently close to Athrun; exhaling a sigh that doubles to blow some loose hair out of his eyes... (He's in a real need of a gel refresh, but apparently that's not high on his priority list right to deal with right now.)
There's real warmth and gratitude in his eyes when he speaks up.]
So... I just wanna say this now, while he's too laid up to squawk at me for it.
[Typical Dearka, he winks. Letting him know he's joking a little.]
...I never woulda guessed in a million years that I'd find myself in the position of thanking you for kicking Yzak's ass, but.
[He holds out his good hand for a respectful bro-shake.]
[Athrun is, predictably, in the hanger, although he's not committed to doing a huge amount of work right now. They're all exhausted. He's too much of a workaholic (and kind of a protective/paranoid nerd, let's be real) to leave things entirely unorganized, so he's there making sure that Justice is properly secured, and all the intact (partially or otherwise) of the Z'Gok armor are accounted for and categorized in a corner, so he can begin repairs when they're not all so dead on their feet.
Hearing from Dearka is a surprise, mostly because he'd expected the other to be glued to Yzak's side for a while. He's sure that he would be, if their roles were reversed. Still, Yzak seems to be doing well (as much as he can anyway), and it's not a sign of a lack of care on Dearka's part. Athrun's glad to see him, either way, and the shake is easily returned.]
You don't have to thank me. I'd have done it for any of you. And I'd expect you to do the same.
[Things have been especially hard on those two, though, and they deserve a victory. Athrun's gaze shifts very briefly to the prosthetic, then refocuses on Dearka once more.]
I'm... sorry for worrying you. The explosion, I mean. I thought it was best if kept a secret, so I could use it to catch him off guard. I wasn't thinking about how you might see it.
Heh. 'Course I would. But let's not go speaking anything like that into existence until I at least get the Buster fixed up, yeah?
[While he's speaking, he catches Athrun glancing at his prosthetic... But he doesn't really take offense, nor does he bother to say anything about it. He gets a lot of that lately, but he's trying pretty hard to just take it in stride. It's weird for him! He figures it's gonna be weird for other people, too. But it is what it is, and if he keeps saying that enough, maybe at some point it will finally feel normalized <3.
More to the point... The Z'gok. The Justice? That big alarming magic trick Athrun pulled off mid-fight... Dearka laughs, his brow creasing incredulously upon being reminded.]
Hah! It DID work, and also you're not actually dead, so I guess I can't really hold it against you? But. Fuckin' hell, man...
[He looks over towards the Justice.]
Who knew your real mobile suit was wearing it's own mobile suit the whole time? Not me, that's for sure.
[Athrun has the sense to look sheepishly apologetic for that one.]
Actually... I knew, and Cagalli did, too. It's what Z'Gok was built for- to keep the true Justice concealed, while Shinn piloted an older model for Compass. The cockpit I've been using the whole time is Justice's, as well as the reactor core powering it. Something kept the armor locked in place, however. LILITH interference, I'm guessing, though why I have no idea.
[Very much a "in case of emergency break armor shell" situation.]

i believe in standing up for my friends and staying true to my word. as a matter of principle, i intend to settle matters with this person in front of Revelation Room 2. if we're neighbors, i apologise for the disturbance; i'll do my best to keep things short. for non-revelation residents, i'm sending this as a heads-up in case this causes trouble for all of us.
if you're not this person, i would appreciate knowing the truth and i apologise for the disturbance. if you are this person, you're a pathetic, weak-spined coward shamelessly picking on kids who just want a safe place to live in. have a good day.

I'm thinking we leave it here then hike around and see if we find anything. If we're lucky, it'll be good to haul things back.
Any suggestions? [It sure is convenient to be able to speak normally when one person's in a mobile suit. Still weird, though.
She lifts an arm to grab at the Z'Gok's claw so she can climb up to its shoulder area and hitch a ride.]
