Good question, considering we don't know how long they've been extinct in this version of Earth.

Do you think it's worth asking about?

I suppose it couldn't hurt. I'm not sure of the benefit, though. The answer could simply be, "I saw them in a historical biology book" and that's the end of it.

You're probably right, but I still wanna know, especially since there are so many options. Seems like a lot for something extinct for a long time.

Maybe the library would have a more extensive list of creatures that are extinct now, and why. I'd understand the kaiju being a big cause of some, but there are a lot of environmental factors and rift issues, too. Or they could have been extinct long before all of this got as bad as it is.

I wonder how many people around now would remember or know a lot of the animals. And are there non-kaiju animals we don't have?

We can start by asking around locally. Depending on what intel we get, we can expand further as we travel to different regions. The situation could be very different in every continent.

Maybe we could head back to Egypt during some downtime, ask around there.

I'd like that. It would be good to experience it properly, without all the nightmares and sleep deprivation.
